....a journal of my days, creative things I do, and the people around me.

While on an adventure through watercolor blog-world I saw this photo reference for a challenge. I really liked it. So, my first ever internet challenge-YIKES!
Glad you have come across my blog and let me know about yours. Wonderful paintings and sketches. I particularly like the fluidity of this watercolour. Lovely.
Cathy, It's so nice to hear from you. The challenge was at rookiepainter.blogspot.com This I did on yupo by just laying on alot of paint in the colors I wanted and let it dry. Then went back and played around till it looked right (at least sort of right)
Until now I was not a fan of watercolor and YUPO. You've changed my mine. You have created something uniquely luscious using both. It hints of Roberto Matta.
Why yikes? They look juicy.... maybe cooked in a nice gravy...
ReplyDeleteYikes because I know that once started on challenges I won't be able to stop myself! Maybe that's a good thing.
