"Dana's Autumn" (sold)
12 x 15 watercolor on 140lb Arches coldpress
"and the trees of the field shall clap their hands" Isaiah 55:12
Snow fell all day yesterday....a lot of snow. It's time to accept that this beautiful autumn is over and get on with "IT" It being winter. If you know me, you know that the mere thought of winter makes me shiver but I can appreciate a beautiful sunny winter day. Too bad Michigan is not known for sunshiny days.
My inspiration for this painting? My dear friend, Dana, has a beautiful autumn photo as her facebook photo......this is it!

It's a gorgeous painting. Do you mind if I ask if one of the pigments is quinacridone coral (Daniel Smith)?

Sally,
I haven't any Daniel Smith paints tho my friends are in love with them. I think(?)the red in this one is mostly American Journey pomegranate (quinacridone red) and Davinci cadmium scarlet.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Katrina
