".....give peace a chance."

Seventeen days and, crazy me, I want to design our Christmas cards. Instead of the usual photos with newsletter on holiday stationary as I have done for the last, oh, million years I'd like to incorporate one of the things that I have spent oodles of time on this fall......doodling. I am up to about 120 of these little gems and have filled almost two homemade journals. This is my first go round with a holiday theme but not my finished piece. I'll post that once they are finished and printed and in the mail.

......or lose yourself in these addicting doodles for therapy! I'm going to call them "Katoodles"! I have been doing these for about a month and now have my handmade journal book full of 71 of them. Help-I can't stop myself. Decided to put copies of a few together to make a "work of art"
Finished piece 24x30
Prints of 3.5 inch original Katoodles matted to 6 inches

I am addicted to these "Zentangles" I found on the web. Why did doodling seem frivolous before and now that someone has given them a name they seem.....well.......like important doodles!?

These are done in my handmade book on a variety of paper types. All 3.5" X 3.5" and done with extra fine sharpie. I get a bit of bleed so will try a pigma pen.
A work in progress.
