It's been one week since my all too short escape to northern Michigan. My friend, Cathy, and I spent Monday journaling. We ended up in Elk Rapids at this wonderful marina. Paper and paint, a gentle breeze, a cookie and a nap. An ecxellent afternoon!

A sunflower field stopped us in our tracks.

Royal Farm Market on US31 at Atwood. We spent the morning here and then indulged ourselves with one of their homemade beef pasties.....one of the best I ever have eaten. Their crust is right up there with my sister's - and that is the highest compliment. I'm thinking that their fruit pies must be awesome. Must go back.
